Pros and Cons of Communicating in Person and Communicating Through Technology

Talking with people through person or technology is striking. This is because both have their likes, and differences, and I’m going to share some of them with you.

Here are some likes that I want to talk to you about. The first one is people can bully you, both in person and on technology, and it’s really devastating to watch it happen. It’s a fact that 3.2 million people are victims of bullying each year whether it’s in person or online, this is a very upsetting fact to learn in my opinion, and it needs to end.Another thing is that they both have some pros and cons.A pro is, for talking to someone through person is that you can see their emotions.A con for technology is that you need internet to talk to them.

Here are some differences about both of them. When you are talking to someone in person you are aware of your surroundings.Caution don’t be on your phone you might get hit.Another one is that you can show facial expressions and jesters. On you phone though you can show it by using emojis. But still why you can’t use facial expressions on your phone is sad.

Those are the pros and cons of talking in person,or through technology.I have liked talking to people through technology but I still like talking to people through person.

Literary Response

This is why I think the theme of Out of my Mind is never give up.To start with,Melody is getting ready to show what she is made of.On pg.152 it says “The only person who got every single question right is…Melody Brooks.”2 She is finding out being herself is fun.On pg.99 it says.”finally a girl got up out of her seat and walked over to my chair. She squatted down and looked me directly in the face, and smiled.I inhaled deeply and slowly and pointed on my board to thank you.Rose seemed to understand. She is doing what everybody else is doing. On pg.90 it says this.”But these classes were supposed to give kids like me a chance to interact with each other. That’s how I think the theme never give up is expressed.

What I Like About Sharon Draper’s Writing

There are many decisions that I like about Sharon Draper’s writing. She’s humorous.”They’d start a he walked up the stairs.Step,fart.Step,fart.Step,fart. Her descriptive language creates imagery. “When people looked at me,I guess they see a girl with short, dark, curly hair strapped into a pink wheelchair.” She has good use of vocabulary.”These things-I call them “tornado explosions”-are pieces of me.”These are the things that make Sharon Draper a great writer.
